Holistic
Counseling
Many people have found that traditional talk therapy helps them have a better understanding of themselves, but they continue to struggle to make positive, lasting changes in their lives.
Telehealth
All counseling sessions, from intake through closure, are held via telehealth. I utilize a HIPAA compliant, secure video platform hosted by Doxy.me, a telemedicine website for medical professionals. Sessions are private and secure. All data is encrypted, your sessions are anonymous, and none of your information is stored. I will send you a link prior to your intake appointment. The same link is used every time to connect for sessions. You may use a computer, tablet or phone to connect to sessions. It is important to have a good internet connection for sessions, and also privacy. Headphones or earbuds are not necessary, but they can be helpful.
EMDR
EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. It is a form of therapy that helps people heal from trauma or other distressing life experiences.
My Approach
Kaye believes every individual has the potential to experience peace, love, and joy, with the ability to resolve life's challenges, or upsets, more quickly and with less suffering. Both her professional education and life experience have demonstrated this truth to her. It is her mission to increase people's awareness of this truth and help them overcome the obstacles that get in their way.
About Me
A native of Ohio, Kaye graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Akron. She is a Licensed Independent Social Worker in the state of Ohio. She is certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) through the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA).
What My Clients Say
"I started going to Kaye because there were a lot of things going on in my life that I wanted to be able to handle effectively. I have now been seeing her for about eight months and each session I leave with a new perspective and learn something about myself.

Kaye is an amazing counselor - she validates my feelings, actively listens to me and provides a valued outside perspective. She integrates a variety of coping strategies throughout our sessions and provides me with skills I can utilize outside of counseling.
Kaye creates a warm and welcoming environment in her practice, which contributes to a comfortable counseling session. I have personally benefited immensely from our time together, and appreciate the progress we've made within my counseling journey." - Anonymous

"I’ve been through years of therapy for complex PTSD, read a plethora of books and have been down endless paths searching for healing. My toolbox overflows with coping skills to deal with symptoms. I thought that’s what my future held - a lifetime of managing symptoms.

Then I met Kaye and have made sweeping changes in my life and my relationship with myself. The methods she employs are powerful, she is sensitive to my needs and thoughtful in her approach. Our work has been especially significant because not only am I healing from the past, but I’m still navigating incredibly unique and challenging circumstances. Her presence is open, loving, and compassionate and creates a powerfully fertile space for healing to occur. I’m deeply grateful."
